Ineffable 03:46
Something made me wanna come and talk to you. This something gave me chills. My tongue is dry and hands are blue. We’re in a sinking ship and thinking drinking straight from the cold ocean It’s ecstatic. Something made me wanna tell you my whole life It’s like Mona Lisa watching the crowd makes me cry We’re in a sinking ship and thinking drinking straight from the cold ocean It’s ecstatic. Ineffable. Our name. It’s like we’ll be alright. Ineffable. This love. It’s like we will indeed survive. It’s like this ship will survive. Something made wanna wear this strange grey coat. These roles you give me are too loose or too tight, can’t fit in. We’re in a sinking ship and thinking drinking straight from the cold ocean. It’s ecstatic. Something made me wanna yell it in your face. You can’t ignore the light. It’s shining bright and obvious. You live your rising dream, yet wishing drinking straight from the cold ocean. That would be ecstatic. Ineffable. Our name. It’s like we’ll be alright. Ineffable. This love. It’s like we will indeed survive. It’s like this ship will survive.

about

Electro-indie band Squareplatz releases their debut single 'Ineffable'. The band is comprised of musicians Sezgin Inceel (Turkey) and Stas Mishchenko (Ukraine) and based in Munich, Germany. Their first song, which is titled ‘Ineffable’ (too beautiful to be explained by words), tells about a crowd, enjoying life and dancing on a sinking ship.

The band’s name is a combination of the words of ‘square’ in English and its German translation ‘Platz’. It reflects the idea of central squares of cities being places, where people of different backgrounds can gather, meet, protest and/or express themselves. The same applies to Squareplatz’s music: Stylistically it is highly inspired by 90s electronic-dance music and pop culture, revised through the modern looking glass, and naturally, has some influences from the Ukrainian and Turkish cultures, where the musicians were born and grew up. Squareplatz plans to release their first EP in the Summer of 2019.
